Sun Spot Socks: Winwick Mum Pattern
The Flower Power Fund is a fundraising campaign supporting Marie Curie UK, a wonderful charity which supports people living with a terminal illness. The brainchild of @Sherlock_knits, a year long campaign of yarny loveliness brings a new colourway each month under the theme of '50 laps around the sun'. June is the turn of ourselves, and we are delighted to be collaborating with Winwick Mum who has designed this beautiful sock pattern.
What could be nicer than wearing socks the colour of sunshine on a cold and dreary day? Bring some light to your sock drawer with these twisted stitch socks and chase the clouds away!
Suitable for adventurous beginners, the Sun Spot Socks are constructed as top down socks with a heel flap and gusset. The heel is knitted in Eye of Partridge stitch which creates a durable, cushioned heel
This printed copy of the pattern offers detailed instructions for a full range of sizes, with written and charted sections for the twisted stitch design.
Both of the Flower Power Fund colourways ('Solar Flare' and 'A Different Lens') work up beautifully in this pattern, each skein offering a different colour option to your wardrobe, so why not make them in both (and lets not forget the amazing Starry Sock base - maybe make four pairs?)!
For every printed sock pattern sold Yarn Unique will match the donation made by Winwick Mum, doubling the amount and helping us to raise as much money as possible for this amazing charity.
