Christmas Ball: Weekly Advent

Christmas to Caroline will forever include the wish to see a production of the Nutcracker. Attending the ballet as a child and being enchanted by the story, stage and dancers enchanted her and no matter how many times she's seen it - it is Christmas embodied to her! (She's absolutely adamant however that she must see it BEFORE Christmas, a January show simply won't do!)
This years Luxe Advent theme is a nod to this love, and is inspired directly by the wonderful stage and costume designs of the English National Ballet and Dick Bird. The 2024 production brought an intricately created Edwardian London to life in Act 1, sharing the hustle and bustle of the streets and the luxury and grandeur of a festive ball. The inspiration for the colour palette is taken from this concept of a Christmas ball. Using rich colours and textures found in the silk wallpapers of the day, luxurious fabrics and gowns and the tones of a traditionally dressed tree. It's safe to say Caroline has really enjoyed designing this one!
This Weekly Advent will contain 4 individually wrapped skeins on your chosen base, with a specially chosen treat in each package. The colourways are inspired by the tones in the moodboard and will be lightly variagated and designed to complement each other.
The 'Day 25' skeins will also complement each of this advents skeins, available in ‘Dark Delights’ or ‘Candlelight’ (they're even available in skeins of fluffy laceweight!).

Luxe Sock: 85% Extrafine SW Merino / 15% Nylon, 4ply has 400m per 100g and DK 225m per 100g.
Starry Sock: 75% Extrafine SW Merino / 25% Nylon and has 400m per 100g.
Yak Sock: 70% SW Merino / 20% Yak / 10% Nylon and has 400m per 100g.
Merino Singles: 100% SW Merino and has 225m per 100g
Silky Yak: 60% SW Merino / 20% Silk / 20% Yak, 4ply has 366m per 100g and DK 212m per 100g.
Silky Sock: 50% SW Merino / 50% Silk, 4ply has 400m per 100g and DK 225m per 100g.Luxe Yak: 50% Silk / 50% Yak and has 400m per 100g.

All advents will be shipped early November to arrive in time for 1st December 2024. Please note, tracked delivery methods are recommended during seasonal periods as delays are common.
