DK Gnumpkin's Squash: Yarn Pack
In the lands of Willowdell, where dozens of streams crisscross each other in meandering paths and the gardens burst with good things to eat, the gnomes have a particularly gourd-geous look to them.
Gnumpkin is a very pumpkin-y gnome. Gnettle takes that pumpkin-y base and adds a witchy look. Gnumpkin and Gnettle are fraternal twins - similar, but different. They are fundamentally the same pattern, but a few changes create a big personality difference. Perhaps Gnettle is Gnumpkin dressed up for Halloween? Or Gnumpkin is the unassuming secret identity for Gnettle when she’s not saving the world? Or perhaps they’re just really close cousins.
Either way, they’re similar enough to be the same pattern but different enough to deserve their own place on your shelf if you want to knit both.
So, how do you take part in the MKAL?
First, buy your pattern (see links below) and choose your yarn (looks like this colour way has caught your eye!).
You’ll get 6 updates during October. These will tell you what to work on next. Sometimes the update will have the same file for Gnumpkin and Gnettle, and some times they'll each have a separate file. Because Gnumpkin and Gnettle are a mystery gnomes, I can't tell you much more -except you'll have so much fun making one or both of them!

The yarn: This earthy alternative Squash themed colourway promises an autumnal Gnumpkin gnome. The DK yarn pack offers 40g of Colour 1 & 2 and 20g of Colour 3 ( Please note this is less yarn than the pattern suggest, but was more than enough in my test knit using 3mm needles)These three beautiful colours, designed just for Gnumpkin, are on our brand new DK Luxe Sock 4ply base!
